Digital Storytelling using PhotoStory (windows only) Presenter - Ken Zimmerman (Technology Integration Coach) with 3rd grade teacher Jamie Keenan Description: Learn how to use a common digital story-telling tool called PhotoStory. In this session, you will be introduced to some basic elements of digital storytelling as well as how to use PhotoStory. PhotoStory is a Windows only program that allows students to import photos, and type text and narrate the photos. Students learn how to download pictures and import them into PhotoStory. Students learn how to do some basic editing of those pictures and then set motions and transitions for each picture. Students narrate the pictures and choose music (which already exists in the program) to add to the background of their project. The final product is a video which PhotoStory creates for the student. Students are then shown how to upload their PhotoStory to Moodle for everyone to see. This session will introduce you to how PhotoStory works and you will have the opportunity to ask questions for how you could add digital storytelling to your classroom!
