Description: A wiki is a web page that can be used and modified by multiple users. There are many ways to use a wiki in order to challenge high-achievers, foster home/school collaboration, or have students create something together during their own down time. They can create a story from the prewriting stage to the final draft, or they can be challenged to create their own thematic web page on a topic of your choice.

This session will demonstrate the basics of using the Wordpress blogging system to post classroom announcements, upload files, manage blog themes and control access to comments and posting options. Specific elementary classroom blog examples and activities will also be demonstrated.
