Andy Petroski

The movement to 1-to-1 and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) environments creates more access to laptops, tablets and smartphones for students. How are you going to make sure that those devices enhance learning and don't become a distraction? Web 2.0 polling options are a great way to increase formative feedback, get students engaged and use the devices in their hands to do so. Attend this session to learn about PollEverywhere and other options for student polling WITHOUT clickers.

It seems that we have a million technology options to use in our classroom, but how do we use them to best meet the needs of our students? This session seeks to provide you with multiple tools to use to help Teachers to provide opportunities for differentiation, while helping Students to Collaboratively learn using technology. We will cover approximately 8-10 sites and how to use them in the classroom by following a Jog the Web. All of the sites we will look at are free Web based programs that can be used on computers or personal electronic devices. Though our time will be short, I hope to give practical ways for you to use technology the very next day in your classroom!
