This session will show you how you can use iPads to engage your students in deeper thinking through the use of productivity apps. We will model some apps used for digital storytelling, book creation, screencasting and photo editing and show you how you can use these tools to help your students meet the levels of thinking and engagement required by the PA Core. We’ll even show you how to do some “App Smashing” and create projects using two or more productivity tools!

Through the lens of the SAMR model of technology integration, this session will look at how teachers can use technology tools to assess their students' knowledge in new motivating and interesting ways. The techniques presented in this session can be applied to a broad range of classrooms as well as fit the technology experience level of any teacher to propel you forward in assessing student learning and technology integration.
