Using Google Forms & Spreadsheets to Ease the Work Flow

This hands-on session will include a step by step work along exercise in form creation. A demonstration on using Forms & Sheets Add-ons to ease any teacher's work flow will highlight how to use these tools to collect links, student/parent information, schedule PTA appointments and more. Administrators will see how forms can be used to collect and document observable performance objectives during class walk-through visits.

This session will be focused on my current adventure of flipping my 4th grade classroom. We will look at tools that I use, along with other options. Additionally, we will talk about the benefit/challenge components of flipping your classroom. This will be an interactive session where we share personal challenges/victories as a group, while navigating to the goal of a flipped classroom.

EverFi: Teaching Critical Life Skills Through Free Online Resources

EverFi partners with educators nationwide to teach, assess, and certify students in the critical skills they need to be successful in life. Our co-curricular, digital courses deliver content that engages 21st century learners and provides meaningful metrics to teachers by measuring knowledge gains and student attitudes on these important critical life skills topics such as financial literacy and STEM education. The two courses that will be shared are standards-aligned and free of charge to schools. Over 350 schools and 32,000 students in Pennsylvania have gone through an EverFi course. Everyone who attends our presentation will be given login credentials, standards-alignment documents, lesson plans and ongoing technical and curriculum support.

The 21st Century history classroom allows students to become historians by interacting with digital primary sources. This session shows how to turn a traditional classroom into a "tradigital" history classroom.
