Our co-curricular, digital courses deliver content that engages 21st century learners and provides meaningful metrics to teachers by measuring knowledge gains and student attitudes on these important critical life skills topics such as financial literacy and STEM education. The three courses that will be shared are standards-aligned and free of charge to schools. Over 350 schools and 32,000 students in Pennsylvania have gone through an EverFi course. Everyone who attends our presentation will be given login credentials, standards-alignment documents, lesson plans and ongoing technical and curriculum support. Vault - Understanding Money Program: A 2.5 hour, digital learning course designed to introduce students in grades 4th-6th to financial concepts and vocabulary. The course features interactive lessons and activities that challenge students to make choices in real-life scenarios around saving, budgeting and job planning. This program is sponsored by the MassMutual Foundation.
Future Goals - Hockey Scholar: For students in grades 5th-7th, Hockey Scholar takes students on an exciting educational journey with the goal of winning a virtual Stanley Cup for the Philadelphia Flyers. Students complete 12 virtual mini-labs, following the scientific method that educate and test their knowledge on core STEM concepts covering data analysis, geometry, life and physical science. Ignition - Digital Citizenship: A 3-4 hour course that informs 6th-9th grade students on how to use technology effectively and safely. The course aligns to the ISTE standards. Upon completion, students enter a gaming simulation where they will demonstrate their mastery of digital skills, such as creating a blog, managing a social networking site, and working to resolve a cyber bullying situation.
