What is ePals?
ePals offers elementary and secondary school administrators, teachers, students and parents worldwide a safe and secure platform for building educational communities, providing quality digital content and facilitating collaboration for effective 21st century learning. ePals serves approximately 1 million classrooms and reaches millions of teachers, students and parents in approximately 200 countries and territories.
ePals is free to join. To be listed in Find Classroom you need to do a profile. The more information you share in your profile, the better your chances of finding a good partner class. Tell us all about your students and school, and write a personal greeting for the Global Community members. Our example below is a good guide:
This 4-week Jump Into ePals project is designed to welcome you and your students to the ePals Global Community and introduce you to project work and the activities and communication tools available here at ePals. Interested classrooms will be placed in small groups, and will be coached through a site tour, forum discussion work, media gallery uploading, a short wiki activity, a short blogging activity, and an email exchange with other group members. Following this month long project, we anticipate that you will be familiar with much of what ePals has to offer and will have made classroom contacts that you can carry into future project work.
